Abigail Baker’s poetry—vivid in imagery and enchanting—explores the personal relationship realm, showcasing its magic, but also the inevitable pain that goes with being human. Her poetry can be found here.
With Abigail’s permission I hereby present my poetry reading of her very moving poem “How.”

Thank you, Chris.
very cool poem and reading…love the reverb…
Thanks, Claudia dear.
Your recording has that touch of magic, in my mind you’re in a cavernous library, questioning and adding to this super layered poem Q!
Well, Abi’s poem “How” is truly profound, and as for my recording, I am afraid the echo is not by design. Perhaps my open plan living/dining room, where I work, is cavern-like, but I tried everything to dampen the echo … even blankets under and over my computer (my neighbours must have thought I was potty) … but it seems futile to resist the divinity of the echo … and so I shall let it be …
No, don’t get rid of the echo – it sounds perfect for the poems you choose to read! Finally got around to listening to this one and am glad I allowed myself time to enjoy it- gorgeous, thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Marina. You gave me the courage to read another poem with the echo …
